Established in 1933, Turkish Airlines (THY) is the national airline of Türkiye. As a member of Star Alliance and headquartered in Istanbul, Turkish Airlines flies to 335 cities and 340 airports in 129 countries, with 53 domestic and 287 international routes. With this extensive network, it holds the title of the airline with the most destinations worldwide. Turkish Airlines, with approximately 30,000 employees and a total of about 60,000 including its subsidiaries, carried over 70 million passengers annually before the pandemic. It still holds the title of a 5-star global airline awarded in 2018. Additionally, it was honored by Skytrax in 2022 as "Europe's Best Airline" and for the "Best Business Class Catering Service in the World".
